About Me

Hello there! My name is Aidan, and welcome to my about page. I was born and raised in sunny Pasadena, CA. Both my mom and dad are LA natives, and they decided to stay rooted there when raising my older brother and me.

I grew up in a family of art enthusiasts, my grandma having been a theatre teacher and my grandpa having worked on movies. My grandpa often credits himself with having sparked my love for the performing arts because he used to play the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein movie musicals on his TV whenever I’d stay over at his house.

The truth is that I didn’t begin my journey within the performing arts until 5th grade. After seeing a production of the Los Angeles Ballet’s The Nutcracker, I knew I had to start ballet classes pronto. I wanted to twirl so freakin’ bad! So, I begged my mom to let me take ballet classes and… She did!!! Wahoo! I instantly fell in love with ballet, and quickly started going to classes everyday (except Sundays).

Ballet led to theatre and that eventually led to musical theatre. And the rest is history!

I grew up in the same house for my entire life, and I didn’t move until I started NYU during “the COVID year”. Wow, was that a huge transition. Even amidst the insane and worrisome climate of the time, I quickly grew to love NYC and all that it had to offer.

During my time at NYU, I not only got to explore my love for acting, singing and dancing in an incredibly rigorous program, but I also got to explore other passions of mine. I took multiple creative writing classes, including poetry, prose, and playwriting. I also got to explore my love of history through a very theatre-centric lens, which was quite awesome.

Thanks to my wonderful time at NYU, I can confidently call NYC “home”. Pasadena will always be “home” too, though.

Outside of the performing arts, there are plenty of other things I love. I am an avid Nintendo fan. I’m especially a fan of Mario and Pokémon. That’s on Jigglypuff. I am a lover of animals, having grown up around them all my life (shout out to Snoops, my family’s Newfoundland). I feel quite passionately about color theory and have picked up my own independent studies in color analysis. If you ever need your colors analyzed, let me know! In my free time, you can find me at the gym, hanging out with friends, or watching a YouTube video essay on a random pop-culture topic.
